There are 2 million dogs and bitches in the Czech Republic and 7,500 in Prague 10. But there will probably be more. That means a lot of excrement. You see it everywhere. Owners often don't clean up after their dogs, even though it's their duty. There's a cleanliness ordinance (No. 8/2008 Coll. HMP).
Dog poop destroys nature if we leave it there. It's not just dogs that poop in the park, people do it too. Their poop is just as toxic as dog poop.
Lots of dogs means lots of poo and urine, these contain nitrogen and phosphorus, there is so much of it that it destroys the soil and encourages the growth of nettles and buffalograss and takes away space from other plants. They're toxic to the soil. Other animals and insects can carry diseases from them. They span up to one month. Children also come to the park and they touch everything. "If you roll it in a wheelchair, you load it onto your wheels and then take it home, then the assistant has to take it off and it's uncomfortable for him and for me. And if you don't have an assistant, you can't reach the wheels, you can't wash...'.
"Let's solve the mystery, it belongs in the mixed waste." Please use the bag and clean up after your dog. Plastic bags made from petroleum can take up to 25 years to decompose, we don't recommend those. A bag that breaks down faster is best. We recommend compostable ones made from corn masa or paper. These are placed in 300 locations in Prague 10, but dog owners should be equipped with their own bags.
Dog feces can harm nature. There are huge concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus
Out with the dog? Only with a bag!
