EVEN CELEBRATION IS AN ACTIVITY AND A SET TABLE IS AN EXPRESSION OF TOGETHERNESS.
As part of the neighborhood festivities Experience the City Differently, we are organizing a Festive Lunch in František Suchý Park, which we are on the anniversary of the birth of Fr. Suchý, to better commemorate his memory.
We would like the table set on 14th September to be a celebration of our life together in Strašnice.
Our goal is to establish a new tradition of celebration, which we are now creating together.
The festive lunch is also meant to be a symbol of togetherness in the original meaning of the word. The symbol, Greek sym-ballein - "to bring together", then functioned as a proof of identity. A man on at the feast, he received a part of the broken object, and whenever he proved himself to be one, he was welcomed as an old acquaintance, even after many years.
In the spirit of this tradition, we would like to inhabit the park together, and then everything gathered and created together donated on.
THE CENTER OF THE CELEBRATION WILL BE A JOINT LUNCH, WHICH WILL START AT 2 PM.
Please confirm your attendance by phone or email to ensure there is enough food and table space. Bring your own cutlery and glassware or other festive props. We would like to reduce unnecessary waste at the event. We are preparing an entire lunch from the surplus of the summer harvest. The composition of the neighborhood menu you can influence it too.
