EVEN CELEBRATION IS AN ACTIVITY AND A SET TABLE IS AN EXPRESSION OF TOGETHERNESS.
We would like the Sunday table to be a celebration of our life together in Strašnice.
Our goal is to establish a new tradition of celebration, which we are now creating together.
Report from last year's festival Festive lunch in Strašnicewhich took place as part of Experience the City Differently 2019.
For us, the festive lunch is meant to be a symbol of togetherness in the original meaning of the word. The symbol, Greek sym-ballein - "to bring together", functioned then as a badge of identity. The person at the feast was given a piece of the broken object, and whenever he proved himself to be one, he was welcomed as an old acquaintance, even after all these years.
In the spirit of this tradition, we would like to inhabit the park together and then donate everything we have collected and created together.
Food will be served on clay bowls made by a local artist Barbara Dayef.
Bring your own cutlery and glassware, or other festive props. We would like to reduce unnecessary waste at the event. We'll be making an entire lunch from the summer's surplus harvest. You can also influence the composition of the neighborhood menu.
