Art workshop VESNA

Vesna provided an open, safe and creative-artistic environment for children from Ukraine who found asylum in the Mars Hotel in Prague 10 after the outbreak of the war unleashed by Russia on the territory of Ukraine. The children got to know the locals, met culturally and linguistically and reflected on global issues. They played, created together and learned basic thematic vocabulary under the guidance of renowned artists, teachers and interpreters in the Olga space and in the František Suchý Park.

In each art workshop, a collaborative artwork was created using imagination and specific art-making techniques such as macramé, flowering meadow, drawing, collage, group portrait, rorschach stains and water, sculpture of authentic footprints and home, fantasy maps and dream world, stop-motion animation and short video making.

The workshop was closed by the opening and exhibition VESNA/VECHA 5 in the Olga Gallery, which was on view until February 23, 2023.
