ANXIETY ● GROUP ANXIETY
Exhibition duration: 10 May - 21 June 2024
The Ládví group, consisting of Jan Haubelt, Jiří Thýn, Tomáš Severa and Adéla Svobodová, together create an installation for the Olga space full of emotions, a sense of threat, but also reconciliation. Like a snake it winds through the gallery space, it has no beginning and no end.
The second exhibition in the series THE HERITAGE OF COLLECTIVES: ADAPTATION AND TRANSFORMATION. The cycle for 2024 loosely follows the previous years (2023 - PARENT, 2022 - DCERY SONS MOTHERS FATHER) and extends them to include the dimension of social ties, relationships and forms, where cooperation and collectivity are seen as necessary aspects of sustainability and survival.
Manifesto of Technological Dependence and Social Instability
We have entered an era where our existence is intertwined with constant waves of technological progress. Until now, we have been lulled by the promises of the modern age - the promises of a connected, unified world, easy access to information and borderless communication. Our dependence on technology has become a shackle that binds us instead of liberating us.
Our souls are falling into digital captivity, where interpersonal relationships and authenticity are lost.
Our addiction disrupts not only our relationships, but also our ability to be ourselves. We become slaves to constant online connectivity and forget about deep human needs and desires. Our identity is diffused into the digital space where our sense of reality and self-concept is lost. At the same time, we are witnessing growing social instability, fuelled by divisions and polarisation in society. Technological progress, instead of uniting us, often distances us and intensifies our differences. Inequality is deepening, while social ties are breaking down.
We are witnessing the uprooting and loss of belonging that results from this disruption.
It is time to resist this technological dependence and social instability. It is time to restore the balance between technology and human values. It is time to come together and build a society that is resilient to the pressures of the digital age. It is time to rediscover the value of human contact and empathy. We cannot expect this change to happen on its own. We must act now. We must come together to reverse this spiral of dependency and instability. We must return to the core of our human being and rediscover the power of human connection.

This manifesto is our call to action. It is a call to restore the balance between technology and human nature. It is our duty as individuals and as a society to confront the waves of technological dependence and social instability and build a world based on human dignity, solidarity and compassion.
