(Medicinal) Metaphors of psychedelic experience

What kind of psychedelic experience do participants in research studies have?
And can psychedelic research inspire artistic research?

We invite you to a guided screening and discussion about mutual inspiration and meaningful connections between the artistic and psychedelic communities.

How do you bring a psychedelic experience to someone who hasn't had one before? How do you describe something whose essence is indescribable? Perhaps best with a simile, an image, a metaphor. We will present the experiences of the participants of the research studies mediated by qualitative methods: interviews, thematic analysis, case studies, stories. We will try to explore which metaphors have healing potential.

We are looking forward to meeting Mgr. Jan Soukup, psychologist and psychotherapist, drop-out from the doctoral studies in psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Masaryk University. Now happily employed mainly clinical research on psychedelics in the NUDZ. He has also worked and taught in corporate and palliative care. A proud member of the Czech Psychedelic Society.
