Exhibition: 27 May - 2 September 2022

I often imagine you walking through a field
with a loaf of bread, about six years old,
it's summer, but it's war, a German airman is flying low,
chasing you in the corn, shooting from the sky.
Your Miladka, now almost 80,
walks through the meadow alone to the baker.
Me and Jakub are carving boats on the porch.
Dad, there's almost nothing left.

Elsewhere on the kitchen table
20-year-old grandma Biba draws an animation.
Who was that! Don't sniff around!
It won't be very visible in 2022.
Oh, you're so Margaret.
scanned too much contrast,
that was about 1995,
some of us were still alive, some of us were still
were not born.
I'll leave it at that, Grandma.
I took the picture on the invitation last year.
An old woman in Nedakonice used to embroider costumes.
Grandmother called Little stopped the stampeding horses.
A puppet theatre burned down in Žilina,
the children put a candle under the curtain.
The puppets were maybe a metre in size.
